An exciting innovation in large format print, VGL has produced the first strawberry scented graphics at a tube station to coincide with the launch of new Beefeater Pink Gin.

Infused with scented microcapsules, the graphics were digitally and screen printed in our Reading factories. Installed at Oxford Circus Tube station along the exit corridors, as passengers walked through the station they smelt the aroma of strawberries.

With over 60 scents to choose from, including bespoke and custom - find out here how our bespoke service can create even more engaging campaigns.
We’ll be exhibiting again at this year’s VM & display show. Head over to stand D7 and discuss your print requirements under a canopy of hanging leaves and next to two lifesize cardboard engineered elephants.

Printed in an iconic William Morris pattern, we've constructed the elephants out of patterned and silver chrome card. Each elephant is completed with dichroic and florescent pink tusks.

As part of our long term investment in the best technology VGL have installed the state of the art Durst Rho 512R.

Featuring Quadro Array 12M print head technology and droplet sizes of 12 pictoliters, the Rho 512R sets new quality standards for extra wide high end ink jet printers. Equipped with Variodrop technology and light cyan and magenta, the Rho 512R uses multiple impulses for modulating droplet size. The result is unmatched quality at industrial speeds.

Sitting alongside the Durst P10 and 512, VGL have eight Durst machines in operation providing unrivalled capacity, quality and conformity to our customers.
As part of a current £2m investment programme VGL continues to underline its commitment to providing the best quality, value and service.

For us, this year’s VM & Display Show was all about celebrations. An incredible 40 years’ in the business has seen many changes. From the humble beginnings above a sweet store to expanding into 4 factories, we’re proud to be at the forefront of print design.

Our stand was the chance to celebrate what we’re best at. We demonstrated our soft signage capabilities with a huge back wall fabric frame lightbox. Printed on our Durst Rhotex 320, the advantages of using our water based ink system and dye sublimation process were evident in the vibrant colours and solid black of the image.

Our timeline displayed some key points through our 40 year history, running from the top of the fabric wall and then onto our direct printed plywood floor, constructed from panels of 18mm plywood.

Perhaps the most noteworthy aspect of our stand was the giant cardboard engineered “40”. Spearheaded by our skilled in house studio, the two massive numerals were engineered to be free standing and incorporated elements of printed vinyls, cardboard engineering and other specialist vinyl films that were pulled together to make an incredible impact.

We had a great show, it was a brilliant opportunity to connect with so many new and current customers and introduce the range of services we can offer at VGL.

If you didn't get the chance to visit us at the show, we'd be happy to discuss your print requirements. Give us a ring on 0118 922 1300 or email us at [email protected]
